The golden cashew festival

      With more than 75% population is working on farm, BinhPhuoc is well-known with many products of industrial crops such as pepper, rubber, etc but cashew is the most famous product of my hometown in Viet Nam and also in over 78 countries of many areas . That is the reason we have ‘the golden cashew festival’ at March 23rd to honor our product as well as the industrious farmers who produce such tasty nutritious food. That is not only the festival of Binh Phuoc province but also the first festival of Viet Nam country.
      To welcome and prepare for the festival, many activities are taken with the list of activities and guests completed by the authority first. Every day the information of this festival is broadcasted on our channel to encourage the people especially the farmers and worker of cashew factories to join this festival. The decoration is also the important part of this activity which satisfactorily finished before 3 days the festival taken place. The stage located at the centre of the town- BinhPhuoc square is decorated attractively with a big flat screen on the centre of stage and a yellow figure of the cashew with a nut above it. 2 sides, there are many bunches of balloon with various color. From the 13 highway in front of my house to HungVuong crossroad where the festival is taken place, there are beautiful Chinese lanterns above and flash light wires on the roadsides. For each 100 meters there is a yellow plastic statue which can lighten at night shaped as a cashew too. At the welcomed gate of my hometown, there is a pink attracted poster ‘let come and join with us-Binh Phuoc golden cashew festival’.
      The festival includes 2 parts that are ceremony and the outdoor activities. The ceremony is begun with the speech of the Viet Nam president and the chairman of Binh Phuoc’s people’s committee. Afterwards the lovely cashew symbols and flower parade is carried out through the ways of the operating centre. Following it, there is a long crowded line of people especially children who are day off on that day eagerly join this activity. The ceremony is ended with releasing the colorful balloons with the regret’s eyes of the children there. Immediately after that, the outdoor activities are took place with the joining of most inhabitants there such as the funny logo creation contest, cashew trade fair, street eating and drinking fair, etc. The meaning one that I like most is the cooking competition used the nuts and fruits from cashew between the farmer and the workers from the cashew factories. They showed all creative, meticulous and professional skill in each dish-simple but special like their working to produce this good tropical product. It also helps me with some interesting instructions that I want to try cooking for my beloved family.
According to the schedule, there is a rite of giving seed for the administration of Cambodia and Laos to show our friendliness and cooperation. The ending of the festival is an impressive performance of letting off fireworks lasting 15 minutes. At that times, the time is as if at a standstill while the inhabitants are deep into this excellent  
The 3 days festival is passed through quickly as a wind blows the leaf down without giving any care of the regret. Although it is such short time, most people in Viet Nam know about this festival especially the people here who all felt the ebullient spirit of this festival, which is the most success of the organization committee.
